Although we do not have an active Stephen Ministry currently...we still have people that are able to help if needed. If you find yourself interested, please reach out to Pastor Kathy.
“Love one another – as I have loved you.” - John 13:34
Looking for a place to reflect The Light of Jesus – to share your talents? Our Stephen Ministry needs some caring lay people who have the gift of “listening.” If you can listen, pray, support and encourage others, you would be a wonderful Stephen Minister.
Everyone experiences challenges in life like the loss of a loved one, family issues, loneliness, illness, aging, financial problems, struggles at work, etc. -- times when just talking to a caring Christian friend (who will keep difficulties confidential) would help.
Although pastors will always be on the front lines of care, especially during times of crisis, there are always more needs than one pastor can meet. As our congregation challenges itself to more spiritual growth this year, this may be the perfect time for us to rejuvenate this ministry that shows God’s love in action.
If you would be interested in serving our congregation and our community as a Stephen Minister, please seek out Karen Magers, Jan Stoneburner or the church office for more information about the required training.
